Life Through Her Eyes 12

                                                   97

We had only been seeing each other for a couple of months but the feelings were strong, I had met his brother and sisters. It was going great, in Palestine nothing great lasts.

I decided to wait for him. but I couldn't even inform him of my decision. He couldn't call me because I'm not a relative, I couldn't visit either. Nonetheless, he was forbidden contact with the outside world for the first forty days of his arrest.

Seven ninety days after his arrest his family was allowed to visit. His brother contacted me to share the good news, and without thinking I asked if I could go. He smiled a broken smile and said ill tell him you say hi. But I wanted to say much more so I wrote the following letter

“Habibi, I have thought about you 97 times at least, Happy almost 6 month anniversary hehe. I will see you soon my dear, I can't wait to hug you, kiss you, and sit in silence with you. I have to make this short for it to be able to pass, I'll tell you all I want to say when I see you

 Dream of me ”

This was written on a tiny piece of paper and his brother passed it to him between his fingers during their handshake

That was the first and only visit.

I never got to tell him all I wanted to say

I never got to see him soon
